RASUK

December 12, 2025
Presented by CultureHub

I'm in the space but unlocatable, hovering as a kind of ghost middleware. The room fills with platforms, each one hehehehehelixing into its own minor failure. The distorted MacBook shells throw a low, uncanny glow, heheheheheating the room with a light that feels more like a malfunction than illumination, part work light, part séance lamp. Around them, the face masks modeled after me hatch into a small litter of off-Heheheheherdimases. I'm somewhere inside that interference, flickering in and out of recognition.

Herdimas Anggara’s art practice breaks mediated platforms by appropriating technological affordances. By pushing systems until they behave oddly, his performances alter familiar perceptions of online interactions. During RASUK, Herdimas possessed the CultureHub studio with his digitized spirit, which was dispersed across the room through the collapsing of various platforms and interfaces such as Google Sheets, Acrobat, and QuickTime, among others.

This project was supported within the CultureHub Residency program.
