Multimedia artist Raquel (Rock) Bell is a composer, inventor, experimental filmmaker, and culture bearer.

As a founding member of internationally-acclaimed free jazz group Galecstasy, Rock is known for her ability to use every sort of material and her body as an instrument. An original team member at Sleepy Circuits, she assembles, tests and makes video packs for the Hypno Video Synthesizer. Her work has been exhibited and performed internationally at the Japan Society & Dance Theater Workshop in Manhattan, Jazz Fest Montreal, Taipei International Convention Center, 2220 Arts, and MOCA LA, among others. Career highs: performing in two Harry Partch Operas with all of his original microtonal instruments, and being named 2021 Artist of the Year at Marfa Open Arts Festival.

In addition to her skills in audio, video, art direction, mentorship, hardware, and technical management- Rock brings an unrivaled passion for inventing new form art to her role in the Tech Team at CultureHub LA.
