Ivana Dama is an artist whose work explores nonverbal expressions shaped by social and political conflict, focusing on sound studies and sonic memory. She earned her MFA in Sculpture from Yale University after graduating from UCLA’s School of the Arts. Her practice spans audio-video installations, robotics, web projects, and performances, investigating sound and space across scales. Quentin Bolsée is a Belgian engineer specializing in computer vision and rapid prototyping. After completing his PhD at the Free University of Brussels, he joined MIT's Center for Bits and Atoms, where he works on modular machines and accessible digital fabrication systems.

At CultureHub, I’m developing a multichannel sound installation centered on a custom-built synthesizer. This work extends my ongoing research into instrument design, sound, and interactivity. Inspired by early analog synthesizers, I’m integrating coding and physical computing to create a system where audience members shape the composition by patching cables. The length of each cable determines the intensity of audio effects like reverb and filtering. In collaboration with Quentin Bolsée from MIT’s Center for Bits and Atoms, we’re using light-speed measurements to calculate cable length. This participatory piece invites collective authorship and reimagines how we listen and create together.
