Mask Making Workshop

Thursday, October 27, 2022
6–8pm ET
Free

CultureHub NYC
47 Great Jones Street
3rd Fl
New York, NY 10012

What if memories could be stored and shared within familiar objects, or if you could visit the site of a memory by putting on a mask—and what might such objects or masks look like? Join the artists in crafting masks and “memory objects” with embedded VR viewers that will be part of the final installation, a collaborative world-building virtual space that reimagines Asian diasporic enclaves.

This workshop is a part of Jeffrey Yoo Warren and Ann Chen’s CultureHub residency “Community Memory Enclaves.” To participate in this and other workshops related to their residency, sign up using the google form linked above. This workshop will be hosted in-person at the CultureHub studio in NYC. Materials will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring any materials or tools they wish to use to build their own mask.

This event is supported by the CultureHub Residency Program.
